James Makes It To The NBA Third Team For The Second Time
James received a couple of First Team votes along with 35 votes for the All-Star Second Team. He finished 15 points behind DeMar DeRozan, attaining 54 Third Team votes. Moreover, DeRozan made it to the second team All-Star forward spot.
With this title, LeBron has won his 18th All-NBA honor. He has been named to an All-Star team in all seasons except his rookie year. The four-time NBA champ has won two NBA Third team selections, with the first coming during his first season for the Lakers.
James averaged 30+ in a season for the third time in his career. He only played 56 games and scored massively. But, his availability has been a concern for LA in recent times. However, he was magnificent towards the ending stages of the regular season after Anthony Davis was sidelined due to a mid-foot sprain. James took charge and scored at an average of 36.2 points per game in eleven games. He shot 54.3% from the field and hit 40.2% of three-pointers.
Moreover, the King also has a couple of 50+ points games this season in consecutive weeks. His performance helped the Lakers beat the Warriors by 56 points before another thrilling performance against the Wizards next week. However, the Lakers won only four of these 11 games due to a big hole in their defense.
