Interestingly, Randy Miller believes that Juan Soto will most likely land at the New York Met’s next free agency. Miller expects Soto to fetch a Shohei Ohtani-like $700 million deal if he manages to register an MVP-caliber season with the Yankees. But on the flip side, if Soto’s bat fails to deliver, he will settle for a $500 million contract, which is still colossal. But it’s apt for a generational talent like Soto. Notably, the New York Mets are one of the few franchises in the league that can afford to shell out this kind of money. “I fully expect that Juan Soto will be playing in Queens next year,” said Miller. Yet, the Yankees are expected to make a final push before the slugger makes up his mind.
