Anthony Davis & Los Angeles Lakers’ Coach Darvin Ham On Court

Much of the Los Angeles Lakers success in the ongoing season has come on the shoulders of Anthony Davis. Ironically, injury-prone Davis is too fragile to lift his team on the shoulder for too long. Last week in the match against the Denver Nuggets, adding to his long list of injuries, Davis received a fresh one.

On Sunday night, Anthony endured a foot injury, which ruled him out for almost a month. And Davis\’ getting injured at such a crucial time in the season has affected the Lakers in more ways than one. Following his injury, recent reports suggest that the Lakers may rush to a trade deal with Chicago Bulls.

Los Angeles Lakers Potential Trade With Bulls!

Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers have improved their basketball performance. But given that they won\’t have NBA great Anthony Davis, they may encounter some difficulties in the upcoming weeks. Davis will be out for at least one month due to an injury to his right foot. The team has dealt a devastating blow since Davis was performing at an MVP level, averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds, 2.6 assists, and 1.3 steals per game. Now, it will be very challenging to reproduce Anthony\’s performance. And Darvin Ham needs to come up with a solution to keep the Lakers alive.

Meanwhile, the Lakers are keeping a close eye on the Chicago Bulls as they are aiming to reshuffle their squad. With a four-game losing run, Chicago has little reason to be optimistic about the future. Because his knee isn\’t improving with treatment, Lonzo Ball\’s season status remains uncertain. According to Eric Pincus of Bleacher Report, the Lakers are hoping the Bulls come to the unpleasant reality that they must rebuild so they can complete a blockbuster deal.

Russell Westbrook\’s seamless transition to the bench has sparked suspicions that Los Angeles would likely keep him around. However, especially during Davis\’ absence, they must make a statement move if they want to be considered serious contenders. Westbrook will undoubtedly need to move around to fit salary and potential draft selections.

Darvin Ham Clear About Trade Plans

Ever since Anthony Davis\’ injury, there have been rumors around that the recent development will dictate the Lakers\’ trade policy. However, in the midst of all this, head coach Darvin Ham has remained adamant Davis\’ injury will not affect how the Lakers approach the trade window.

While being asked about the same, Ham replied, \”I don\’t think so\”. Ham asserts that whether Anthony is present or not, everything will remain the same. He thinks it would be foolish to assume that each of the 30 clubs isn\’t searching for methods to strengthen its roster and team. The NBA, he said, is a professional sport, and clubs are continuously looking for ways to improve, including personnel changes at all levels of the hierarchy. So it\’s one of those processes that is required.
