Ever since Judge came back to New York, several players and former players associated with the franchise have expressed their delight about the deal. Meanwhile, the recent addition to the list is former Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia. 

CC Sabathia Is Eased After Aaron Judge\’s Return To New York!

The Bronx will be where Aaron Judge will play for the next nine years of his career. However, when news of Aaron Judge\’s re-signing with the Yankees broke, former LHP and Yankee great CC Sabathia was ecstatic. In line with Sabathia\’s predictions, Judge will play all of his remaining professional baseballs in the Bronx. On Wednesday, Aaron Judge and the Yankees finally agreed to a nine-year, $360 million deal.

Judge\’s former Yankee colleague thought the outfielder might sign with another team in free agency. He was so relieved to learn on Wednesday that Judge had reached a $90-million, nine-year agreement. Given that the agreement was reached so late in the offseason, the Yankees and general manager Brian Cashman will have plenty of time to assemble the rest of their squad around Judge.

Sabathia was aware of Judge\’s trip to the Giants in San Francisco and the Padres\’ rumored interest. While discussing Judge\’s choice, CC Sabathia highlighted numerous possibilities in front of Aaron Judge. But he believes that nothing comes close to the feeling of being a Yankees member. 

Because he spent four years on Judge\’s Bronx squad, Sabathia may be prejudiced. But many would continue to agree. Recently, Judge enjoyed one of the greatest MLB seasons in history, establishing an American League record with 62 home runs, batting.311. And taking home his first-ever MVP award.

Nine months after declining a $213.5 million deal extension from the Yankees, Judge received the biggest free-agent contract in baseball history. After that, Judge went on to hit 62 home runs, an American League record for a single season. New York batted.198 in their last three ALCS games. In addition to a four-game sweep in 2022 in which they batted just.162, scoring nine runs, they dropped all three games against the Astros.

Brian Cashman, the Yankees\’ general manager, must get back to work and enhance the team by making bigger deals and signing more free agents. After last season\’s 62-homer, AL MVP effort by Aaron Judge led to yet another disappointing postseason, his assignment was challenging.
