Whether it be for Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, or The LA Lakers, LeBron James has been the driving force for the teams he has played over his illustrious career. James, who is currently playing the 20th season of his career, is the second-highest points scorer of all time. However, the season has not been up to the mark for the Lakers forward.

For the majority of the season, LeBron has struggled with several fitness issues. He has missed multiple games due to the injuries. But surprisingly, the Lakers have thrived in LeBron\’s absence, winning three out of four games. Meanwhile, NBA analyst Chris Broussard said that the Lakers are not utilizing James.  

Lakers Are Wasting LeBron James\’ Final Few Years? 

Surprisingly, without LeBron James, the Los Angeles Lakers seem to be doing well. In the absence of the four-time MVP, they have won three of their last four games and are three wins shy of a winning season. NBA analyst Chris Broussard recently spoke on LeBron James\’ potential while appearing on Fox Radio\’s The Odd Couple.

Chris said that the Lakers are squandering LeBron\’s 20th year by spending his time on the team when discussing James. He needs more support and needs another trophy. LeBron apparently becomes the focus. It can be demoralizing for other players to be around the team in that environment.

Regardless of every club, he plays for, LeBron has always been at the heart of everything that happens in the franchise. Whether it\’s the acquisition of free agents or the process used to create the game plan, these things have always been greatly influenced by the 18-time All-Star. There is a lot of expectation on the Lakers and, to a lesser extent, King James to perform well after a disgraceful season last year. His presence dominates practically everything the Lakers do, both on and off the court, as the public face of the team and, in some ways, the league.

The experience might be stressful for some of the squad members who haven\’t faced the same level of scrutiny and attention as LeBron James. While some people have succeeded, others have crumbled under the burden. This has increased the drama and excitement around every Lakers game. Even in regular-season games, some athletes simply aren\’t designed to handle the pressure.

The Lakers have played more loosely, rhythmically, and energetically without James because everyone is getting more touches than normal. The Lakers remained resilient and competitive despite James\’ absence in their defeat to the Phoenix Suns. However, if James is out for an extended period of time, the LA Lakers won\’t go the distance in the tournament.
