King James just has to surpass Kareem Abdul Jabbar to become the highest scorer in league history. The 18-time All-Star has scored 37,062 points throughout his 19-season-long career. Meanwhile, Jabbar scored a total of 38,387 career points, the highest by any individual player ever in the NBA. Thus, LeBron James has a 1325 points deficit which he is likely to cover up during the 2022-23 season.

However, Jabbar reckoned that if LeBron breaks his record, which seems to be inevitable, he would be very happy for him.
