The New York Yankees have lost two back-to-back series in the past week solely because of the lack of offensive power. In the series against the Blue Jays, the Bombers failed to score more than three runs in a singular fixture. Multiple factors led to this slump, including the obvious incessant injury concerns. Giancarlo Stanton, Josh Donaldson, and Harrison Bader have been placed on the IL for a while now, which most seemingly is affecting the Yankee’s performance on the plate.

However, the main reason behind the slump is the Yankees captain, Aaron Judge. Judge remains the guiding force of the team’s lineup. He is a slugger the team relies on during challenging situations. However, this season, the very savior has witnessed a concerning slump. After early fireworks, Judge failed to carry on the momentum. Meanwhile, fans decode the actual reason behind his sudden downfall.

Fans Believe Giancarlo Stanton’s Absence Is The Main Reason Behind Aaron Judge’s Form Slump

Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees captain, has been struggling at the plate since his teammate Giancarlo Stanton hit the IL with a hamstring strain. His average dropped to .138 with one home run, three RBIs, and 12 strikeouts since the DH’s absence. Stanton, the Yankees’ designated hitter, was one of the team’s hottest hitters before his injury, and his absence has clearly had an impact on the team’s offense, at least, that’s what the fans believe. MLB insider, Bryan Hoch, pointed out the above mentioned stats in a tweet, hinting that Stanton’s injury has left a deep impact on the Judge’s form. The fans, in the meantime, couldn’t agree more.

They thronged the comment section and couldn’t help but agree with Bryan Hoch’s observations. Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton have been the most feared and formidable duo in MLB. They complement each other’s aggressive gameplay and also share a great bonding. Hence, the conjecture might actually have some substance in it. Nevertheless, Judge has a history of bouncing back from slumps and finding his form at the plate. If Judge can stay patient and focused at the plate, he should be able to break out of his slump and help lead the Yankees to victory. With Stanton expected to be out for at least a few more weeks, the team will need Judge and the rest of their lineup to step up and fill the void.

Fans Target Yankees GM As Most Of The High-Paid Players End Up On The IL

The New York Yankees are dealing with severe injury crisis at the moment. The majority of the key players have picked up gruesome injuries and continue to spend time on the IL. Amid the concerns, MLB insider, Bryan Hoch, posted a startling stat that raged the fans on social media. According to Hoch, the 12 players currently spending time on the IL have a collective payroll of $117.8 million. Hoch further pointed out that this amount is higher than the 26-man roster of as many as 13 MLB teams, including the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Meanwhile, the fans held Yankees general manager Brian Cashman accountable for the situation. They feel Cashman’s tenure as the GM has doomed the organization. Many questioned his policies and decision-making. Some even asked him to step down if he wanted to be any good to the Yankees.
