After hitting the record-breaking 62nd home run for the season, a few days back, Aaron Judge has been going through a bit of a slump in form. Meanwhile, on Friday, Judge continued his poor run in the Yankees\’ second game against Guardians in the American League Division Series. As a result, Aaron was on the receiving end of some boos from the crowd.
Aaron Judge Booed By The Crowd After Starstudded Success!
Fans booing Aaron Judge! Sounds strange, right? But this had happened in yesterday\’s game against the Guardians. As he returned to the first-base dugout after recording his fourth strikeout of the game, fans showed their feelings. It was Game 2 of the American League Division Series. In the last two ALDS games against the Guardians, Judge was 0 for 7 with a walk. He concluded the day 0 for 5 with four strikeouts. The record-breaking home run batter was questioned on the jeers directed at him following the game.
The Guardians tied the series at 1-1 with the Yankees. This happened with the help of back-to-back bloop hits in the 10th inning while the Yankees\’ star outfielder went 0 for 5. But Aaron Judge was the target of a game-changing strategy by the Guardians. He didn\’t respond when they started breaking balls away on the outside of the plate in an attempt to hit him.
Currently, Judge has an 0-8 record with seven strikeouts in the two ALDS games. Judge\’s problems occurred during a nine-day layoff between the regular season and the playoffs. However, he also came close to Roger Maris\’ AL record despite only homering twice in his last 14 games of the regular season.
For the first time in the series, Judge put the ball in play with a groundout to third base in the bottom of the ninth inning. Just two games make up the incredibly tiny sample size. However, his statistics are shocking for a guy who has been so dominant all season. The Yankees fans have very high expectations from Aaron Judge, who set an AL record with 62 home runs. In order to have a chance at winning the World Series, fans hoped that Aaron would perform well. But that did not happen.
In light of the underwhelming performance, Judge said he was not at all shocked to hear some fans express their anger toward the conclusion of a 4-2 extra. While talking to reports, Judge stated, \”It\’s happened many times in my career here. There\’s nothing I can do. I gotta play better.
MLB Twitter responded to Aaron Judge\’s awful at-bat performance. Twitter was flooded with responses after the Judge received some jeers after his fourth strikeout of the contest. At the same time, many supporters found it hard to imagine that Judge was still receiving jeers after his historic 2022 campaign. It is also likely that these boos may push Aaron Judge toward the Mets. As apparently, they are already very much interested in acquiring him.
