Stephen Curry has been a gift to the Golden State Warriors ever since he made his debut. If it was not for Steph, the dynasty of the Golden State would not have been possible. In the history of the franchise, they were dominant in the middle of the 1970s, and prior to that, they won in 1947 and 1956. However, after winning the NBA championship in 1975, they had to wait for another 40 years to break the deadlock.

But it was only possible as Steph led the team brilliantly. However, in the current season, the Warriors are really struggling. But Steph Curry has been playing really well. After 23 games, the Warriors are 10-13. In these games, Curry didn’t play only twice. But the two games he didn’t play, the GSW lost badly.

Moreover, when Stephen Curry plays, he gives his best. In fact, he seems to be getting better than ever. In the current season so far, Steph has averaged 29.4 points, 4.4 assists, and 5.1 rebounds. Moreover, he has produced 5.1 3-pointers on average this season so far. It seems like Curry is fighting alone, as Green and Thompson are not performing at their best. Recently, against Durant’s Phoneix Suns, Green received suspension again for another foul.

He has missed several games this season with fouls. That’s the reason why the ESPN Analyst, Kendrick Perkins mentioned on X, “Free Steph Curry.” Moreover, the former teammate of LeBron James mentioned Curry don’t deserve all these. He feels Stephen Curry should join another team. Hence, Perkins asks the Warriors to release the greatest three-point shooter. As per Perkins, arguably the greatest player in the league deserves a better team to win his 5th title.

From 2015 to 2018, Steph’s Warriors met LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals. The Warriors won all the finals except in 2016. However, in 2016, Stephen Curry led the Warriors to break the record of the most wins in a regular season. Previously, the record belonged to the 1996 Chicago Bulls. In the 2015-16 season, the Warriors made it to the playoffs after winning 73 games in the regular season. They could have claimed to be the best team in history. But the Warriors did not end up winning the title in 2016. Anyhow, Stephen Curry made sure the team kept winning titles in the following years.

After 2022, the Golden State Warriors won four titles in eight years. Albeit, Steph is not alone on this team. There are quality players like Klay Thompson and Draymond Green who had been part of the Warriors dynasty. Like Curry, Green and Thompson too won four titles with the team. However, Kevin Durant played briefly for the GSW. Durant was a star of a couple of NBA Finals that helped them beat the Cavaliers in 2017 and 2018. But Stephen Curry proved in 2022 that the Warriors can win titles without Durant. They did it before him and also after Durant’s time with the team.
