New York Yankees’ four-game losing streak took a toll on its primary hitters, including Juan Soto, as their form took a hit. Soto, widely known as one of the most lethal hitters in the league, wreaks havoc on the opposition pitchers. Hence, the pitchers often take the high way to avail a walk to Soto.

Juan Soto’s numbers have been stagnant in this month of June. However, a quality player like Soto cannot stay away from the yard for too long. In the recent 16-5 magnificent win against the Blue Jays, the generational star came through with a multi-hit night.

The New York Yankees snapped out of the four-game losing streak on Friday as hitters went bonkers on the plate. With a 3-1 lead, Juan Soto went deep into the right field of the Rogers Centre to slam a three-run mega home run and extend the Yank’s lead to 6-1 in a must-win game. That marked Soto’s 20th home run of the season as he was extremely elated to finally contribute to the team’s lead after a long while. The generational star added that the Yanks needed this win desperately, as things have been a little frustrating lately. “We just forget about what happened in the past, and we came out to play today and did our job,” Soto said in the post-game interview.

Juan Soto added how he stayed aggressive against the great pitcher on the mound. He was just trying to make great contact and ended up getting a home run. Hence, by the end of the day, Soto was relieved to have given the lead to his team and put them in a good spot. Following Soto’s multi-run homer, the Yankees piled up 16 runs in total to take home a dominating win. The win was important for the Yanks as they snapped out of a troubling losing streak. They are also now tied to the Baltimore Orioles for the first place in AL-East. However, the series is still open. Notably, the New York-based outfit has lost the last four series in a row. Hence, this is the perfect opportunity for Aaron Judge and his boys to snap out of the series losing streak as they step out in the finale on Saturday.

Troubling second baseman Gleyber Torres was included in the lineup against the Blue Jays after a 3-game rest, and he redeemed himself with a two-run homer. Torres was benched, given his lean form, and had a heated moment with Marcus Stroman before hitting back with a stylish home run.

That being said, Gleyber Torres was finally relieved to contribute to his team. “Happy because I did something for the team. Proud of myself to help my team tonight,” Torres said in the post-game interview. Torres added that he is focused to continue the momentum and strike for excellence hence forth. The pressure is off and there is nothing but motivation from here on.
