Stephen Curry had an amazing return for the Golden State Warriors after missing the past four games due to an ankle sprain. Clearly, the Dub Nation is glad to have their talismanic leader back in the lineup. On top of that, the regular season is heading towards its end. The seven-time champions need their “Captain Fantastic” to show them the way through to the postseason. Moreover, the Dubs trio – Steph, Klay, and Dray must be ready for the challenges they are about to face and avoid as many injuries as possible. These are some experienced players with four titles in their resumes. Not just Steph but also Draymond Green and Klay Thompson have been instrumental and All-Star level players to win four titles together since 2015.

The Dub Nation would hope to see the trio do it one more time in 2024. However, the three-point King sprained his ankle in the game against the Chicago Bulls. It was a scary moment as the 36-year-old star limped off the court. Eventually, the Bulls beat the Warriors at the Chase Center. Later, the Dubs lost again at home against the San Antonio Spurs. Since then, the Warriors have been on a road trip. Moreover, they have done fairly well so far. Additionally, Stephen Curry had an epic return against the Los Angeles Lakers. But things heated up when the three-point King trash-talked with his former teammate.

On Saturday, the GSW had an exciting battle against the LA Lakers at the Crypto Arena. These two former champions have re-ignited their rivalry since the last season. In 2023, the Lakers beat the Warriors in the round 2 of the Western Conference. The LAL won the conference semis last year 4-2. It is quite fresh in the memory of the Dub Nation. Stephen Curry would want revenge this year if a situation presents itself. But before the opportunity comes when the Dubs meet the 17-time champions again in the postseason, Saturday saw an intense battle between Steph and D’Lo.

Curry and Russell had been teammates back in the 2019-2020 season. On Saturday, D’Lo was urging his current teammate, the all-time leading scorer, to go at Steph in the post. Later, a popular social media site revealed D’Lo was yelling at LeBron James, saying, “Get his a**.” Albeit Stephen Curry did not give a reply instantly, when the opportunity presented itself, Curry stormed to the Lakers bench to tell Russell, “Get your b***h a** on the court.” Later, Klay Thompson and D’Angelo Russell exchanged words, too. In the end, Steph intervened in that battle.

The Three-point King made an epic return on Saturday as he led the Warriors to a must-win encounter in Los Angeles. In the end, the Dubs won 128-121, beating the LeBron James-led side. Stephen Curry was magnificent on Saturday returning to the lineup. He scored 31 points on 50% shooting. On the other hand, the all-time leading scorer scored 40 points that night at home.

But it was not enough to stop the Steph-led army. The Saturday win was crucial for the Dubs to keep their postseason hopes alive. On April 3, the Warriors meet the Lakers again in LA. At present, the GSW is the ninth seed in the Western Conference with a .530 record. But the Lakers are 10th with a .529 record.
