Lately, Aaron Judge missed nine days of game time due to an abdominal injury. But then he returned to the rotation against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Wednesday in his first at-bat in a long time. Aaron Judge Feels Pretty Good After Returning To The Spring Training
Since March 10, Aaron Judge had not played a game. The last time he played was against the Atlanta Braves, and he got struck out in both at-bats. Hence, Judge’s return with an RBI double only raises hope. The Yankees captain hit a 106.4 mph liner in the first innings to the right center. His hit drove in his new partner in baseball crime. Moreover, the Designated Hitter of the Yankees, Giancarlo Stanton, slugged 3 homers with 8 RBIs. Finally, the NY side won 12-0 against the Pirates. Stanton had hit a 455-foot home run against the lefty Marco Gonzales. Later, the AL 2022 MVP mentioned, as per ESPN, “I am feeling good and excited to get back to the lineup.”
Aaron Judge added that he had a couple of tough balls in the field. But he did like the couple of bats and swings he had in that game. After nine days of injury absence, he is just glad to contribute to the team’s victory. Moreover, Aaron Judge said Stanton was impressive. Adding to that, Judge joked about not giving Stanton enough credit as he was just tagging up on a couple of them. Later, Stanton got a little mad at their captain. But Aaron Judge said he won’t do that again and make sure that he jogs at least. The Yankees will need both these star sluggers at their best throughout the season. With Stanton and Judge along with Juan Soto, the NY side has a really good chance to win the “Big Dance.”
Yankees Skipper Happy With Judge And Stanton’s Performance Against The Pirates
Aaron Boone told ESPN that Giancarlo Stanton has looked pretty good throughout the spring training from the very beginning. Boone felt that the Designated Hitter was in control of his at-bats. Moreover, against the Pirates, Boone felt Stanton was quite precise.
On top of that, Boone believes Stanton can be really scary when he’s like that. Moreover, Boone said it was exciting to see Aaron Judge get back to the lineup. The Yankees have five more spring training games remaining. Moreover, the Yankees captain might play in three of those games in Florida.
