Cristiano Ronaldo has decided to leave Manchester United as his agent Jorge Mendes is seeking a new home for him. The Portuguese international expressed his desire to leave the club recently without playing out his contract, which would end at the end of next season. While United is not interested in selling CR7, he himself wants to move on in pursuit of playing the Champions League next season. The 37-year-old was being linked to Chelsea after new owner Todd Boehly met with Ronaldo\’s agent earlier this summer. While Boehly was interested in getting the superstar to his club, Chelsea\’s manager Thomas Tuchel did not share the same interest.

Recently, Tuchel revealed that the Blues considered signing Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United. However, the English club was unwilling to lose the pursuit of their no. 1 target Raheem Sterling. Chelsea confirmed earlier this week that the Englishman would arrive from Manchester City soon. The club signed the 27-year-old forward for £47million. Moreover, Chelsea is uninterested in signing another forward currently despite Romelu Lukaku\’s departure and Ronaldo\’s availability.

Tuchel

Talking about Chelsea\’s interest in Ronaldo, Tuchel admitted to considering CR7. He is a fantastic player who plays for their rival club in Premier League. The Blues boss added, \”Out of respect, we don\’t comment on these players as we don\’t like other caches to speak out about our players. This is where this has to stay.\” Thus, Tuchel has made it clear that Chelsea has no plans to sign Ronaldo this summer. Meanwhile, the five-time Ballon d\’Or winner was also linked with Bayern Munich to replace Robert Lewandowski. However, the move seems quite unlikely now, with the transfer deadline coming soon.

Bayern Munich Rejects Ronaldo As Lewandowski\’s Replacement

Ronaldo is quite desperate to play the Europa League next season as he only has a few seasons left to play. With Rober Lewandowski parting ways from Bayern Munich to move to Barcelona, there were speculations that Cristiano could replace him. However, Bayern\’s Sporting director hinted that the club might not be interested in the Portuguese superstar. Hasan Salihamidzic shared that he has a lot of respect for Cristiano Ronaldo, his successes, and his career. \”But again, that wasn\’t and isn\’t an issue for us,\” he added.

Munich has acquired Sadio Mane from Liverpool and has extended Serge Gnabry. Moreover, they have players like Leroy Sane, Kingsley Coman, and Thomas Muller. These stars could provide the firepower at the front after Lewandowski\’s exit. Thus, Ronaldo\’s hopes of leaving the club are hanging by a thread. It will not be a surprise if CR7 is forced to stay with the Red Devils for the next season.
