Stephen Curry has been waiting for the moment when he will win an Olympic Gold medal for a long time in his career. Finally, he made that dream come true this year. However, it was not his first time representing Team USA in a big tournament. Curry had won two Gold medals in the FIBA World Cup wearing Team USA’s uniform. However, he could not participate in the Summer Games until the 2024 Paris Olympics. He is 36 years old at present. There is a good possibility that he might not play for another Team USA lineup in the Olympics.

But the way it ended was like icing on the cake for Steph’s career. Despite the American team having stars like Kevin Durant and LeBron James, Curry turned out to be the hero in the semi-finals and the finals. LBJ was the player of the 2024 Olympics basketball tournament. The 2024 Team USA looked like a modern-day Dream Team. However, after the finals, Stephen Curry could not completely celebrate because he, along with Kevin Durant and Anthony Edwards, had to take drug tests.

The Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards was also another name on the American team, alongside Stephen Curry, who had their first Olympic run. Both Edwards and Curry played pivotal roles in helping Steve Kerr’s team dominate in the Olympics yet again. In the final against France, Kevin Durant joined Steph and Ant-man to score 47 of the 98 points and helped his country win another Gold. After winning the gold medal in his first Olympic run, Edwards shared the experience via boardroom and Bleacher Report. The Timberwolves star mentioned, “We could not really celebrate for a long time because me, Steph, and KD had to take drug tests.”
