There were moments when the New York fans booed at him. However, slowly but steadily, Aaron Judge seems to turn things around. Lately, in the game against the Tampa Bay Rays, the Yankees captain hit his fourth home run in seven games and tenth already in the ongoing season. Clearly, the 2022 AL MVP is gradually getting back to his groove.
That’s great news for the Bronx Bombers. Moreover, the absence of the ace pitcher has been the biggest concern since the start of the 2024 regular season. Fans did not know who was the right choice to fill in for Gerrit Cole. But then Luis Gil got his big break in the starting rotation. Since then, the 25-year-old Dominican pitcher has been the most impactful starter for the Yankees. He has got the best ERA in the starting lineup. However, when Cole will return, chances are Gil will move back to the bullpen. Coming to the middle of the second month of the current season, Aaron Boone might look into how the team can get more from Gil when Cole is back.

However, the fans have been let down so much since 2009 that it is hard to raise their hopes. But this NY side with the Judge-Soto duo and a new “Dawg” atmosphere has started the season on a very positive note. At present, the NY side looks like a serious contender for the World Series.
