Ironically, in the leading male motorsports, the most significant role is played by females. Yes, the strategist of Red Bull and Mercedes is Hannah Schmitz and Rosie Wait, respectively. Sadly, no one pretty much knows about these women engineers who are, in fact, inspirational personalities. Schmitz, the head strategist of Red Bull, finally got the appreciation and light when Max Verstappen took her name after winning the Hungarian Grand Prix. The Red Bull driver won 15 races. But the Hungaroring one was special because the 10th of the Grid to the first leading everyone.
After clinching the incredible win, Max Verstappen said, “You cannot afford many mistakes in Formula One.” He explained that it is really very hard to always be on the good that is expected side. Schmitz has been found responsible for several Red Bull wins over Mercedes and Ferrari, which were claimed just by making better pit wall decisions. On the other hand, Rosie Wait, from Mercedes, again holds the same credits for Mercedes wins. In the 2019 Hungarian Grand Prix, Hamilton finished first, overpassing Max Verstappen; this was basically guided by Wait.
