Stephen Curry is not having the best season so far in the ongoing regular season. Moreover, the Golden State Warriors are on the verge of losing their dynastic run. Despite starting on a winning note, they eventually lost their way. On top of that, Draymond Green’s back-to-back suspensions did not help their cause at all. That’s the reason why the Dubs have not played their best game so far. Moreover, the Warriors have not been able to play their main starting lineup.

Adding to that, Klay Thompson has not been at his best either. Anyhow, the Golden State Warriors are still one of the most popular teams in the league. It is mainly because of their modern-day dynasty. As a result, due to their popularity, whenever any fan voting comes into the equation, the Dubs players get the most votes. But this time, in the case of All-Star votes, only the Splash Brothers found their place in the backcourt.

On Thursday, the NBA announced the first returns of the All-Star fan votes. Not surprisingly enough, Steph Curry was number two on the Western Conference backcourt. The Dallas Maverick’s Luka Doncic got 55,000 votes more than Curry to rank number one. But Stephen Curry received 1,394,980 fan votes overall. On the other hand, Klay Thompson ranked number nine on the list of Western Conference Guards. The West backcourt saw two Dubs make their way. However, the frontcourt didn’t have any Warriors man. Stephen Curry has already been an All-Star nine times in the past, and every time, he was in the starting lineup.

As the fan votes make up 50% of the voting power, Steph’s place in the starting lineup might be in jeopardy. Anyway, if he misses out on being a starter, the league’s coaches can vote him to be in the reserve lineup. And that would make Stephen Curry the 43rd player in the league’s history to get at least 10 All-Star selections. Even though Klay Thompson got some love from the fans for the All-Star voting, Curry might be the only Dub playing in the February 18 game in Indiana.

Warriors Have Been Very Inconsistent This Season

Without Steph and Dray, Klay was not able to win any game for his team this season so far. Anyhow, the Splash brothers were later able to help the team get on a five-game winning streak. However, things look to get messy again as the GSW lost three games in quick succession. Moreover, they have not been able to beat the defending champions, the Denver Nuggets, this season so far.

Stephen Curry has been pretty inconsistent lately. He again messed up during another Christmas game. Later, against the Miami Heat, Curry could not lead the team to victory. And lately, the Nuggets beat the Warriors 130-127. Currently, the GSW is the 11th seed in the Western Conference. They are down 16-18 with a .471 record.
