Following last night\’s game, Russell Westbrook spoke with the media. During the post-match conversation, the 33-year-old point guard was asked about his team\’s standing on the points table after eight defeats in the season. Westbrook said that in the game, you simply play the cards presented to you while responding to questions. There are several events that might alter it. Everything is a component of the game and the NBA season.

The reporters also questioned Westbrook about if he has seen enough in the past ten games to think the Lakers can turn things around after falling to a 2-8 record to begin the season. To which the 2017 MVP replied that he and his team are going to compete, giving their hundred percent each day. They wish to deal with it one day at a time and see how things turn out in the future.

Westbrook May Become The Sixth Man of the Year!

A few weeks ago, Russell Westbrook was the number one target for criticism from every direction for his poor form. However, after Darvin Ham\’s new rotation policy of playing Westbrook as the sixth man, it has been a complete turnaround for the point guard. Ever since his new role, Westbrook has been averaging 19.3 points per game for the Lakers.

In his six outings off the bench, he is shooting 51.3 percent from the field and 48 percent from beyond the arc. In addition to his 22 points on Monday, he also had five assists, one steal, and one block while shooting 57 percent from the field and 67 percent from deep.

Westbrook has made noticeable gains after being removed from the Los Angeles Lakers starting lineup. Therefore, he is beginning to receive more attention in the early Sixth Man of the Year discussion. In addition, as the other two members of the Lakers \’Big Three\’ are dealing with injury concerns, Westbrook\’s return to form has been a glimmer of hope for the team.
