ESPN’s recent interview with LeBron James had not gone down well with a few competing news agencies. The 15-minute interview conducted by Dave McMenamin has been criticized heavily by Marlow Stern of Rolling Stone. Stern wrote a whole article wherein he attacked ESPN for conducting a monotonous interview and evading hard-pressing questions. Moreover, he also took a shy dig at the Lakers forward for playing it safe in the one-on-one chat.

Firstly, Marlow questioned ESPN’s choice of the interviewee. He says that Brian Windhorst could have done a better job than Dave. Furthermore, Stern accused ESPN of playing the audience by conducting a repetitive interview. He added that the host kept asking the same questions to which we already knew the answers. Moreover, Stern claimed that ESPN and the host remained biased toward LeBron James and hence avoided pressing questions. Lastly, Stern concluded that the interview was a massive waste of time and that ESPN could have done a much better job than just fawning at James.

LeBron Reveals The Desire To Play With His Son Before Calling It Quits

Coming back to the interview, LeBron James revealed his future plans after turning 38 last month. He said he wants to share the court with his son, Bronny James, before closing curtains on his 20-year-long career. Moreover, James desires to spend an entire season with his little one donning the same jersey before he rests. FYI, Bronny is 18 years old and will be eligible to feature in NBA next year.

Furthermore, King James spoke about the Laker’s ongoing season and said he is not enjoying ending up on the losing side. James further added that he had trained all his life to win and that he was born to win. Hence, this year has been tough on the forward striker. LA Lakers are struggling in 12th place in the Western Conference table with 19-22. Moreover, the mid-season is approaching, and the Laker’s front office will need to make some alterations within the lineup to do better in the second half of the season.
