Aaron Judge, a powerhouse both at the plate and in the field, is undoubtedly the backbone of the New York Yankees’ lineup. His ability to hit home runs, drive in runs, and make crucial plays in the outfield makes him indispensable. This year, again, Judge is proving why he is the best in the business.
After a concerning slow start, Aaron Judge has fallen back into the MVP conversations with a historic stretch in May. He carried forward the momentum in June as well and as a result, the Yankees are carrying the best record in MLB. However, despite sensational stretch, manager Aaron Boone apparently takes Judge for granted.
Aaron Boone Deems Yankees Captain Aaron Judge A Special Player
In game 2 of the New York Yankees home series against the Atlanta Braves, captain Aaron Judge slammed a 389-foot two-run home run to avail his team of an early lead into the 8-3 victory. Judge’s 28th season home run left manager Aaron Boone in complete awe. In a mid-game interview with Fox Sports, Boone was asked to outline Judge’s importance and impact in the Yankee lineup. The skipper jokingly said that Judge is so good and consistent sometimes that he often takes him for granted. Boone added that the slugger is a special player, and he is blessed to have him on his side in pinstripes. Indeed, Boone’s lineup frequently revolves around Judge, who is expected to deliver in high-pressure situations.
However, Aaron Judge has never felt the pressure to carry the Yankees offensive lineup on his shoulders. He has been doing the same for many years now. Fortunately, he has had help this year in the form of Juan Soto. The duo together have hit 40+ home runs altogether until June 24. Giancarlo Stanton’s return to form has also been a blessing. Hence, unlike last year, Aaron Boone is no longer dependent on Judge solely for offensive production. He can now count on the rest of the lineup as well, which is a big blessing from Yanks’ point of view. But ultimately, whether or not the Yanks make it to the World Series will depend on Judge’s numbers by the end of the year. Overall, the Bronx Bombers find themselves in a good position and are likely to make the playoffs this year.
Aaron Boone Gets Fourth Season Ejection Vs Braves
The New York Yankees manager Aaron Boone got ejected for the fourth time this season on Saturday while arguing against the strike zone versus the Braves. It all went down in the top of the seventh innings. With the Yanks leading comfortably with a 7-1 score, Marcus Stroman’s slider in the strike zone was called a ball.
The call left both Stroman and Aaron Boone furious. The Yankees manager was shouting at the top of his voice from the dugout which led to his fourth season ejection. Boone was naturally unhappy with the ejection and charged down from the dugout to have a heated confrontation before eventually returning to his office.
