Juan Soto was elected in American League’s All-Star roster as confirmed outfield starter after he received substantial votes in Phase 2 voting. The New York Yankees star has embraced the big city challenge gracefully to emerge as one of the strongest hitters this MLB season.

However, despite the fifth career All-Star nod, Juan Soto’s participation in the All-Star game remains uncertain. The generational star is weathering a hand injury that he sustained last week. He continues to play in pain whilst receiving medications along the way. Amid this, Juan Soto has finally taken a decision on his All-Star plans with the second half of the season at stake.

New York Yankees star slugger Juan Soto hasn’t been himself on the plate since the team hit a slump. His average has dropped below .200, which is a significant blow to the Yanks’ offensive production. However, it was later revealed that Soto has been playing through a hand injury for the past few days. Notably, Juan Soto sustained a bruise on his hand while sliding in the Red Sox series at home. However, he missed just one game and returned to the lineup whilst bearing significant pain. After a recent 5-4 loss to the Rays, the slugger revealed that the pain is yet to subside. But he wants to continue playing as the team needs him on the plate.

“The first day here in the series, it was really painful, but it got better the next two days,” Juan Soto said in the post-game interview. Moreover, with the All-Star game scheduled for Tuesday, speculations suggested that perhaps Juan Soto would skip the game and focus on rest to heal his hand injury. However, Soto squashed the rumors to confirm his participation. He will be traveling to Texas with Aaron Judge and Clay Holmes to represent the New York Yankees at the All-Star festive. Importantly, Soto’s an impending free agent, which makes the season even more crucial for him. Hence, he does not want to miss even a single game and lose the opportunity to showcase his true talent and skillset on the plate. The All-Star game will be held on July 17 with the biggest names of the sport in action at Texas.

New York Yankees veteran infielder DJ LeMahieu fouled a ball off his neck in the recent game against the Tampa Bay Rays. The third baseman, who is already struggling to find his footing this season after a delayed debut, was taken out for concussion tests, including a precautionary CT scan, revealed manager Aaron Boone.

Fortunately, DJ LeMahieu has dodged a bullet as his CT scans came back clean. He is expected to continue playing without any restrictions. Notably, DJ’s season has been marred with injuries, as a foot injury delayed his season debut by two months. Even after the delayed arrival, the infielder has struggled offensively with just .202/.296/.229 slash line and zero homers in 126 plate appearances.
