Aaron Judge, in his nine-year association with the New York Yankees, saw numerous moments of glory on the field. In 2022, Judge established himself as one of the best hitters to grace the franchise by smashing the all-time league record for most home runs in a single MLB edition.

That 62-home run season helped Aaron Judge jump several places in the all-time high franchise record list. Meanwhile, in a recent matchup against Oakland Athletics, the Yankees captain ended his home run drought by slamming a towering hit over the right field porch, bringing his defining 261st career home run.

In the storied history of the New York Yankees, a franchise known for its rich tradition and illustrious roster of players, Aaron Judge has etched his name into the record books once again. After a 62-home runs season in 2022, Judge smashed his 261st career home run against the Athletics on Wednesday and accordingly surpassed the franchise legend Derek Jeter in the Yanks’ all-time high home run record list. Judge is now in sole possession of the ninth place in Yank’s record list of most home runs for the franchise. Notably, Jeter, popularly known as the synonymous of the New York-based franchise served two decades in the Bronx. While it took Jeter two decades to log 260 home runs for the franchise, Judge logged that many and one more in just his ninth MLB season.

Notably, Aaron Judge is poised to finish as one of the greatest Yankees players of all time on this trajectory. Being a product of the franchise’s farm system, Judge has repeatedly established why he’s a rare talent. Despite concerns surrounding his early season slump this year, Judge slammed an effortless home run to prove why he is and will always be the best in business. That being said, as he continues to add to his impressive resume, Judge remains focused on the ultimate goal: bringing another championship to the Bronx. The only thing left for him to achieve is the ring, and as a captain, the responsibility to guide the Yank’s quest naturally falls on his shoulders. And this year, with the kind of start the Yanks have had, it seems to be their best chance at making a run for the trophy.

After a prolonged slump, New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge broke through the shackles to slam a two-run home run against the Oakland Athletics on Wednesday. With the series at stake, the captain exploded on the plate to not only break out of his slump but also put the first runs on board for his team.

However, despite the prolific shot, Aaron Judge downplayed the hit, saying he needs at least 500 more at-bats of such kind to lead the New York Yankees to the ultimate championship. Notably, the Yanks haven’t won a ring since 2009. Hence, as captain, Judge is more committed than ever to achieving the ultimate goal.
