The New York Post shook the sports fraternity this morning when it reported the axing of MLB reporter Marly Rivera. An ugly verbal fight with a rival reporter over an interview with Aaron Judge led to her exit from ESPN. Meanwhile, Rivera spoke to the Post and issued an official statement. She accepted her mistake and took full responsibility for her actions and words.
However, she did accuse a certain fraction of people in MLB of ganging up against her. She said she had some disagreements with the MLB communication executive, John Blundell, in the past, which led to her termination from ESPN.
