The two Red Bull drivers together succeeded in claiming one-two victory for Red Bull in both the races held so far. But everyone now is aware of the fact that Max Verstappen does not like to stay behind his teammate. If you remember the 2022 Brazilian GP, you must know that Max ditched his teammate Sergio Perez for just a position, that too, back at P6. It was when the dispute arose between both the Red Bull drivers, which continues till today or maybe till they split up. This may seem impossible at the moment, but the spark of the fire is already being developed in Max’s heart, accepting his defeat in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.

Clearly, Sergio Perez dominated the track in the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. He spectacularly started from the pole and ended up on the pole; incredible it was! However, more than Checo, Max Verstappen was appreciated for how he came to P2 back from the 15th position. But no way, it made Max happy. He, along with his father, Jos Verstappen, remained unsatisfied with the result. And the statements that max gave after finishing the Jeddah Corniche Circuit second on Podium are analyzed by many F1 pundits. Some, including Nico Rosberg, claimed Max is ungrateful. And David Croft, on the other hand, claims it makes his relationship with Checo very difficult.

Max Verstappen & Sergio Perez’s Difficult Relation Might End Up Splitting Them In 2023

David Croft, from Sky Sports, warns boss Christian Horner about the upcoming conditions coming from the friction between Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez. The Sky Sports commentator further said, “At the moment, it may seem serene at Red Bull. But under the water, there are a lot of legs kicking.” Evidently, David Croft is not sure if things are going exactly as Red Bull’s boss Christain Horner envisioned. He wants a smooth domination of Red Bull in the 2023 season, but in no time, it is possible when “they come very close to not having one-two win,” said Croft.

Apart from other issues in the car that made Verstappen stay at P15 in the qualifying, there “is friction between the two drivers” in the cool-down room, according to David. Not only Max seemed unhappy with the result. Also, Sergio Perez did not like that instead of him, Max completed the fastest lap. The two-time world champion coming from the back of the grid is 1 point ahead of his teammate.

Red Bull Drivers

David believes that Max may have ignored Red Bull’s order again in terms of gaining his personal points. He ignored when the team ordered him not to set a lap time that provided him extra points. After this, Checo’s response was straight, “Werent you advised to keep the pace?”

Max: Yes, [I was told to keep] 1.33.0. But when I asked about the fastest lap, it was not much different than what we had already driven.

Sergio Perez: “I had this information which is why I did not push the car at the end.”

These conversations between the two drivers do not represent a very warm relationship between them. Something big is definitely coming In Red Bull. And as advised by David Croft, Christian horner should take this as a matter of concern.
