Regardless, after the All-Star break, the New York Yankees are playing like their usual dominant self and are toe-to-toe with defending AL-East division champions Baltimore Orioles. Having said that, despite the fight being close, WFAN radio host C-Mac picked his favorite AL-East team, which he thinks will take away the division title with ease.
C-Mac Predicts Yankees To Beat Orioles In AL-East Division Battle
The New York Yankees have found themselves back in the conversation for the AL-East Division title after a recent resurgence that has breathed new life into their season. Following a period of inconsistency and injury woes that translated into a serious losing streak, the Yanks witnessed a resurgence after the All-Star break. The front office plugged holes in the roster at the mid-season trade deadline. And the roster was further strengthened with the addition of injured players. Hence, the Bombers recently won a couple of series in a row and are now tied to the Baltimore Orioles for first place in AL-East. Having said that, C-Mac of WFAN radio issued bold predictions on division titles.
“If you were to ask me who is going to win this division, the Yankees are,” C-Mac said. The radio host explained that defending AL-East division champions, the Baltimore Orioles, are playing like crap. They had an opportunity to run away with the lead when the Yanks were the worst team in baseball besides the White Sox. However, they played like crap and will now pay the price. C-Mac added that by means, the Orioles are a better team than the Bronx Bombers. Last season, owing to NYY’s hideous campaign, they won the division title comfortably. However, their inexperience and shortcomings were duly exposed in the playoffs. While C-Mac expects a close battle in the final stretch, he fully backs the New York Yankees to clinch the AL-East division title comfortably. “I think this battle down the stretch is going to be an interesting one,” C-Mac added.
Aaron Judge Expected To Play Key Role In His Team’s Success
If the New York Yankees want to win the AL-East division title and book a spot into the ALDS, captain Aaron Judge has to deliver his best-ever run to date. He is already flying with 41 home runs and 103 RBIs and is the favorite to win the AL-MVP award for the second time in his illustrious career.
However, it’s not a secret that the New York Yankees are heavily reliant on Aaron Judge in the offense. Hence, the captain has to keep up this form and lead the offensive charge to guide the Yanks to the postseason without having to hustle with the Orioles. Overall, the final stretch of the regular season will be an interesting ride to watch.
