Undoubtedly, LeBron James is gradually coming back to his natural form. He missed several games due to a tendon injury in his right foot. But since he returned, the Lakers have lost only one game and have been able to maintain a winning streak. When he was out initially, the fans lost all hopes of a top-ten finish.

Since then, the Lakers squad has turned things around. From the 11th seed, they have risen to the 7th seed after the last game against the Jazz. And the credit mostly goes to Anthony Davis for leading the team so brilliantly. However, the Lakers found new heroes at the right time in the form of D’Angelo Russell and Austin Reaves. Their contribution is not missed. However, King James’ return against Jazz last night cleared one query; LeBron James is still in his prime despite playing his 20th season in the NBA.

LeBron James Won The Game With A Clutch Point At Overtime

The rest of the roster performed exceedingly well to get them to the top six. After a month’s gap when LeBron James surprised everybody coming off the bench since 2007 against the Bulls, the comeback did not go so well. The Lakers lost that game. But the next game was against the same opponent, and from that game onwards, the purple and gold have been undefeated. However, James did not look all comfortable in the first few games after his return to the lineup. Experts speculated that it is due to his weak right foot, which still needs surgery.

Even James had mentioned that he might need surgery in the off-season. But he evened out all those speculations on his recent match performances against the Jazz last night. The Lakers won a crunch game, beating the Jazz by 135-133. Needless to say that the game was too close that it went into overtime. But again, it was LeBron James who came to the rescue in the clutch situation for his team. After a long time, the fans were able to see him scoring 35+ points in a game. James scoring the clutch point in the overtime made his score 37 last night.

Lakers And Clippers Will Go Head To Head For Securing The 6th Seed

LeBron James (Los Angeles Lakers)- Lou Williams (Los Angeles Clippers then)

With this victory, the Lakers came closer to becoming the 6th seed in the Western Conference. However, they are still the 7th seed. Los Angeles Clippers are the current 6th seed. The two Los Angeles teams share the same record (.519) and a win-loss ratio of 41-38 at present. It is going to be a good contest between the city rivals in the remaining regular season games. The Lakers and the Clippers will face off tomorrow night at Crypto Arena.com.

This game will be equally important as it will determine who will have a better chance of being in the top six. But the good news for the Lakers is that LeBron James is finding his rhythm back. Albeit, he did cost the Lakers with a few turnover mistakes. But then he compensated for those mistakes with his scoring, assisting, and rebounds. Overall it was a pretty balanced display by King James. Only three games remain, and the fans will hope the King continues with the same form.
