Max Verstappen is an unstoppable force in the current era of Formula One. In the last two seasons, including the current one, the Dutchman has won 21 races so far from more or less 30 races since last year. That’s how dominating he has been. Verstappen has constantly proved how ruthless and competitive he is in every race. In the current season, Red Bull has won eight out of eight races so far, in which Verstappen has won six and came second in the other two. Clearly, he is breaking records one after the other.

Recently, Verstappen equaled Ayrton Senna’s tally of race wins after coming first in the Canadian Grand Prix. Apparently, he is not showing any weakness that his competitors can exploit. As things stand at present, with RB19 car and Verstappen at their best, Red Bull can go on to win all the Grand Prix races this year. Can Red Bull and Max Verstappen do it? In the Canadian Grand Prix, Max won the 100th race for Red Bull and the 200th race for Adrian Newey, the mastermind behind the RB19 car. And this time, the Dutchman has a chance to become the King of the Austrian GP this weekend.

The Austrian team has been enjoying tremendous dominance over the last two years. To celebrate their hegemony, Red Bull is gearing up to win the next Grand Prix at home this weekend. On top of that, Max Verstappen is on his way to breaking yet another record. He can be the ultimate champion of the Austrian Grand Prix in a week’s time. The 25-year-old Dutchman has already won three races in Austria in his career. The only other person to win three races in Austria is the four-time champion, Alain ‘The Professor’ Prost.

Hence, if the current double-time champion wins the Austrian Grand Prix at the home of the table toppers, Red Bull Ring circuit, next weekend, he will be the most successful F1 racer in Austria. Vividly, Max Verstappen is way ahead of the rest of the drivers on the grid at present. He is 69 points ahead of his teammate Sergio Perez, who is in second place at present. And, with four wins at home, Verstappen could make it seven in nine for this year. On top of that, it would be the 101st victory for Red Bull. It is also an emotional homecoming for the fans and the team after their owner, Dietrich Mateschitz, passed away last October.

Red Bull boss Christian Horner is also hopeful for Max to record another achievement this weekend. As he mentioned, “It is a very special occasion for all of us and with Max in such an exceptional form. The fans always come in huge numbers to support us. Hence, we would love to add another trophy to our cabinet.”

Moreover, it is going to be the second sprint race of the season. Hence, it will be hectic and complex for most of the teams. On top of that, according to the weather forecast, there will be rain on the weekends. Along with that, Red Bull’s rivals will bring new upgrades. Hence, there is an extra challenge for the table toppers to hold on to their winning momentum. So, the question remains if Mercedes can spoil the party for their rivals.
