The New York Yankees’ recent string of losses has been nothing short of shocking for the fans and analysts alike. The Bronx Bombers won just two of the last seven series and are 12-11 in June after a 21-7 May. Notably, the Yanks were witnessing such an unprecedented time for the first time this year.

While the New York Yankees showed signs of retreat in the Blue Jays series, chances of revival are tricky ahead of the much-awaited home series. Meanwhile, WFAN radio host Keith McPherson reacted to the team’s losing streak and offered his blunt yet honest opinion.

Keith McPherson Calls Yankees A Fraudulent Team

The New York Yankees are in the midst of an unprecedented losing streak. And sports radio host Keith McPherson did not hold back in his assessment of the team’s performance, calling them “fraudulent” in a scathing critique. Keith added that the team is a one-man show running on the back of captain Aaron Judge. While they have the potential to redeem themselves in the second half of the tournament, the current performance is nothing but a hideous show. “They’re not the same team they were a few weeks ago, but it’s June 27th,” McPherson said. Needless to say, Keith’s comments resonate with a growing sentiment among Yankee fans who have watched their team falter in crucial games.

However, it’s important to note that the New York Yankees is still the best team in the AL-East and can comfortably qualify for the postseason even after a few bad stretches. The 162-game season grind is never easy on players. And such unusual times test a team’s true character. So far, the Yanks have stayed together as a unit, and despite concerning slumps, each and every player has backed one another to strive for excellence. Most importantly, the Bombers have a proven leader, Aaron Judge. He is guiding the team positively through the rough phase and is setting an example by taking big swings on the plate. It’s only a matter of time before his teammates latch onto Judge’s offensive form and support him to get wins. Overall, with more than a half of the season still left, the New York Yankees are expected to comfortably come through.

The New York Yankees got back to winning ways on Sunday after getting hammered by the Blue Jays throughout the weekend. In the series finale, Aaron Judge steered a two-run home run to avail early lead on the board. Ace Gerrit Cole played his part smartly with a five-inning outing wherein he allowed only 1 run and struck out six hitters.

While the relief pitcher took care of the rest, Ben Rice, DJ LeMahieu, and Trent Grisham drove multiple RBIs to propel the Yankees to an 8-1 win, thus splitting the four-game series 2-2. With that, the Bronx Bombers will return home and face the Cincinnati Reds in a three-game series at the Yankee Stadium starting on Tuesday.
