Lingering Health Issues Reportedly Caused Slow Start For Yankees Captain Aaron Judge!

Aaron Judge, the New York Yankees captain, entered the 2024 season with high expectations. While he appeared to have healed from the toe injury sustained last season, Judge jammed his abdominal region to miss a large part of spring. Yet he returned on time without any restrictions.

However, his form didn’t. Aaron Judge hasn’t been himself on the plate at all this year. His struggles have witnessed no bounds, and after a recent four-strikeout game against the Rays, the captain had to hear boos from the crowd. That being said, analyst Dontrelle Willis decoded Judge’s struggles and pinned the blame of his supposed recovered toe.

Aaron Judge is going through a tough phase this year, as his abysmal start to the season has put the rest of the hitters in the lineup under pressure. On Saturday, Judge struck out four times in a scoreless game and subsequently received a hostile reception from the home fans. However, the captain went on to brush off the form concerns, saying that it’s only a matter of time before he starts hitting consistently again. However, MLB analyst Dontrelle Willis refused to buy a single word from Judge as he believes there is more to the matter than what is known to the fans. Willis explained that Judge has not been the same on the plate ever since he hit the fence at the Dodgers Stadium in 2023 and hurt his toe.

While he may never accept that in a public forum, Willis is certain that Aaron Judge is battling the toe injury as he spoke to Fox Sports. “I don’t think he’s 100%. Ever since he ran into that fence in LA, he has struggled,” said Willis. Notably, Judge did admit prior to the season that his toe would need constant nursing throughout his career. However, he confirmed that the toe injury will not nag him in 2024 as long as he is maintaining it well. Not only that, everybody from the team has maintained that the captain is fine and has just merely hit a slump. However, with fans’ patience running out, the beloved captain of the New York Yankees must figure things out and start hitting to keep the team’s playoff campaign afloat.

Aaron Judge Reacts To Boos From Home Fans!

New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge witnessed one of the rare moments at Yankee Stadium on Saturday when he got booed by the home crowd. After a four-struck-out game, Judge was met with boos from the home fans, which surely must have struck a nerve for the captain. However, he refused to take it to heart.

Aaron Judge said that he’s heard worse booing and heckling in his successful MLB career. And if he had been in the fans’ position, he probably would have done the same thing as his form has been frustrating to watch this year. However, regardless, the captain promised the fans that he will be back to hitting like usual sooner than later.
