Lewis Hamilton Mercedes

Lewis Hamilton has been going through one of the most challenging phases of his life since losing the eighth championship title to Max Verstappen last year in Abu Dhabi. The Briton found it really hard to retain his winning focus as he found himself in the latest Mercedes W13, troubled by porpoising. The seven-time world champ failed to compete at the front against Red Bull and Ferrari, lacking the pace to win a race so far. However, things have turned quickly for Mercedes and Hamilton in the last five races.

The Briton clinched two consecutive P2 finishes in France and Hungary after finishing P3 thrice before that. The Silver Arrows also secured two back-to-back double podiums in the last two races. Thus, the recent results suggest that Mercedes might soon be up for starting a three-way battle for the championship with nine more races left in the second half. The teams are currently enjoying summer break and will gather in Spa this Friday to kick off the Belgian GP.
