On October 29, 2003, LeBron James made his debut in the NBA for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Even though the team lost to Sacramento Kings, James was the highlight of the game. He scored 25 points. Nobody at the time thought thet nearly two decades later, James would be knocking down the door to surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and become the highest scorer in NBA history. Stepping into in 2022 NBA season James is just 1325 points behind Kareem and fans are optimistic that he will achieve this goal this season.

LeBron James needs about 50 games to overtake the top spot if he maintains his career average of 27.1 points per game. James would need 44 games to reach that point if he continued his 30.3 points per game scoring rate from last season. The first target timeframe is mid-to-late January if James doesn\’t miss any games. In addition to being one of the finest passes ever, he would eventually become the most prolific scorer. When this season is through, James should move up to No. 4 in terms of assists overall.
