Austin Reaves also mentioned that he is interested and has spoken to his teammate, Dennis Schroder, about it. Reaves also talked to the German National team’s coach, Gordon Herbert. As a matter of fact, Austin’s grandmother is German. Hence, he was eligible for German citizenship.
Austin Reaves is currently averaging 17.7 ppg, 3.0 rpg, and 5.3 apg. He is an excellent find for the Lakers. Meanwhile, Reaves acquired a German passport last year. Hence, the German team would be lucky to have him on their side. Austin’s brother, Spencer, plays for a German club, Brose Bamberg. To make the selection for the German national side, the Lakers star will have to register as a German national in the system of FIBA. At first, there needs to be a mutual agreement between the two parties, and then the registration would complete.
