The Los Angeles Lakers head coach, Darvin Ham, gives a positive update on Anthony Davis’ foot injury.

The LA Lakers are mirroring their last season’s performance. However, after the initial struggle, the team got back on its feet thanks to the four-time MVP, LeBron James. King James picked up two consecutive 40+ points games to bring the Lakers back on the winning track. However, the forward is left stranded without a partner as Anthony Davis sits out after suffering a foot injury.

The second-highest point scorer for the Lakers, AD, was having the best season as an individual. However, things went downhill after the center forward went down with a foot injury on December 16, 2022, against the Nuggets. Moreover, reports came in that Davis’s injury was more severe than expected. On top of that, Davis did not want to go for surgery. Hence, he was ruled out indefinitely.

Anthony Davis Might Make A Return Soon

The Lakers center forward, Anthony Davis, has been out of action since last month. His absence is hurting the Lakers big time. On top of that, as per the report, Davis’ foot injury might take a little more time to heal as the center forward refused to have surgery. He wants his foot to heal naturally. However, there has been a positive update that might cheer up the Lakers fans.

ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski recently reported that Anthony is recovering well, and fans might get to see him on the court very soon. However, the Laker’s front office did not confirm or deny the update. But now, the LA Lakers head coach, Darvin Ham, has come out to confirm Adrian’s report. Ham said that Anthony Davis’ recent MRI reports look good, and he is having a speedy recovery. The Coach also reckoned that Davis’s recovery pace is going right according to the plan.

“He’s going right according to plan,” said Darvin Ham

Can Davis Turn Things Around For The Lakers Once He Returns?

LeBron James- Anthony Davis

Los Angeles Lakers are looking for a miracle at the moment after struggling heavily at the start of the season. They maintain the 12th position on the Western Conference table with 17-21. Moreover, King James is striving hard, but the lack of support from the other end is just not working for the Lakers. Hence, Anthony Davis return will boost the Laker’s chances, who are desperately looking for wins.

Meanwhile, in the previous game against Miami Heat, all the big 4s, including LeBron James and Anthony Davis, missed out due to respective injuries. However, Russell West Brook and Dennis Schroder led the team to the finish line with 112-109. Dennis Schroder was the lead scorer with 32 points, with a significant assist from Westbrook. With this, the Lakers have the winning momentum back, but they still need their best lineup back as soon as possible. Moreover, the champion side is finding it hard to move forward despite back-to-back wins due to stiff competition within the table.
