The Los Angeles Lakers are working up to bring their most lethal weapon Anthony Davis back on the court. It is already halfway up of the NBA league, and the remaining games will be crucial for LA. Following their bad start, highs, and lows during the tournament, the Lakers have got to bring consistency to the game. In the meantime, the Lakers’ power forward came to the court for a little workout, but he did not look smooth enough. However, they will be happy to see the advancement with his injury.

The Lakers’ squad is juggling between the 12th and 13th positions in the Western Conference of 15 teams. Now, Hollywood will have to win games regularly if they want to break out from the bottom of the table. However, the wins are getting difficult to accomplish because of the injury problems on the roster. In some recent games, the Lakers had as many as six players out of the lineup due to injury issues. Along with Anthony Davis, who is suffering from a stress foot fracture, the Lakers also have Austin Reaves and Lonnie Walker out. However, LA is working on getting some help from the market before the trade deadline on Feb 9.

Anthony Davis Returning On The Court

The Lakers returned to California after wrapping up the road trip last week. Following the two back-to-back losses, LA had a workout session for the players. And surprisingly, Davis was on the court. There is not much information on the injury of the 29-year-old Lakers center. But it has been a while since the nine-time All-star came to the court and hit some baskets. Many updates revealed that Anthony Davis feels good enough to return to the court. However, his movements were slight as he had yet to fully recover to perform the exercises.

Meanwhile, his trainer and the head coach Darvin explained that he still has a long way to go. The 2020 champ is working half-court for the moment, moving around and shooting some 3-pointers. He still can not go all out and perform dynamic movements like running up and down the court. The updates show that Anthony Davis is moving, but there is still no timetable for his return. Alongside Davis, there were Austin Reaves and Walker shooting balls, who were also out of the squad because of injuries.

The Lakers were supposed to be working out DeMarcus Cousins and Myeres Leonard at the start of January. Although late, Darvin Ham confirmed that both players worked out with the team on Saturday. In the absence of Anthony Davis and other players missing, LA does need players. But the Lakers have been delaying the addition of the players since the start. Hollywood has knocked on almost every door in the market but still has not confirmed any player.
