The New York Yankees promised one thing to fans before stepping into the new season: a World Series Title! And indeed, they are doing everything to fulfill it. When the manager Aaron Boone claimed that this time he had seen the best rosters in the Bronx Bombers, he meant it. Yankees have insanely thrown contracts to the best of the players, including Aaron Judge, Carlos Rodon, Gleyber Torres, and recently Ian Hamilton. For each field except for the left side, the bullpen have the best rosters. Now that the season has begun, we can see one of the infielders of the Yankees increasing his potential to become an All-star, despite the long-term appearance.

The player who really holds the caliber for the All-star is Gleyber Torres. With the past four games so far, he made us all keep faith in him, for he will indeed do the best of all one day. The four hits, two homers, and four RBIs across 17 plate, by hitting .333 with a .529 OBP and .833 slugging percentage, is something that goes beyond expectations. And Torres is doing it. This is undoubtedly a very good start for the 26 years old and for the team New York too. Now the hopes for a successful season are being collected from fans even more.

Gleyber Torres Is All Set To Prove That the Best Is Yet To Come

At present, Torres is hosting 5.9% strikoutt rate and 29.4% walkrate. This may decline the average outs, but isn’t it encouraging for someone who wants to have a strong comeback for the team? Comparing the score of Gleyber Torres from last year to this year, we get a huge difference, though it is just four games this season. In 2022, he had hit .257 with a .310 OBP, 24 homers, and 76 RBIs. A good score overall. But it was one of his best career points made for the first time after 2019.

His past scores somehow show that there are several ups and downs for Torres in life. And today, it is perhaps the ups he is enjoying. This season, he may face some disappointment also. But he seems confident enough to face it all. In the two games he played with the bombers, Torres managed to get the seven bases. On Monday, with the 8-1 victory, he reached five bases against Philadephia Phillies.

However, by the end of 2023, Gleyber may face a free agency period. He signed a one-year, $9.95 million extension deal to participate in the 2023 series with the Bombers. Now, looking at his two hits, three walks, two RBIs, and a homer across two at-bats, fans are imagining a multi-year deal extension for Torres in the Yankees. When the Yankees were trying to select the best players to make the best roster, rumors remained surrounding Torres for the last summer’s deadline. But look at him. He is now one of the best starters for the Yankees.
