George Russell – Mercedes

The one man that seems too impressed by Red Bull’s early dominance in the 2023 F1 season is not you or me, as much as George Russell. This Mercedes guy must have been frustrated, struggling hard on the track last day at Sakhir International Circuit with the Mercedes W14. And now, instead of keeping false hopes, he tends to claim that “no one can beat Red Bull this year.” Last year Max Verstappen spared seven races for other drivers, but this year, he may not leave a single one; look at the way he just started the season’s opening race! Incredible!

Red Bull finished the Bahrain Grand Prix with a one-two victory. They were the same great at the qualifying too. And nearest to them is not Ferrari or Mercedes, but it is Aston Martin. Whoever comes and goes in the back, Red Bull has just secured their permanent position at the front since last year. And this behavior of the Austrian racing team has made the Mercedes driver believe that Red Bull can obviously win all 23 races this year. After finishing seventh in Bahrain, a bit disappointed, George Russell said, “I don’t think any other team is going to be fighting with Red Bull this year.” He claims that the double championship-winning team Red Bull has got this year’s championship sewn up already.

No One Matches Red Bull’s Pace, George Russell Higly Pessimist Obout Mercedes After The Bahrain Grand Prix

Apparently, Russell’s expectations from Red Bull must sound frantic to Mercedes fans. He expects Max Verstappen‘s team to will win every single race this season, as mentioned by motorsports.com. And this is not just an expectation, “This is my bet,” he said. Looking at the fantastic performance they have got, George can’t see anyone else optimizing at the same level. “Their pace seems weaker than how it was in the three days of testing.” This has been strange, but the best thing is coming out of it so that they can do whatever they like. Because at this moment in Formula One, Red Bull is at the top.

According to George Russell, after Red Bull, Ferrari may come chasing Charles Leclerc’s maiden title. He believes the Scuderians to be very competitive in qualifying. But still, the pace of racing is very, very strong for Red bull, than anyone else, including Ferrari, Aston Martina, and Mercedes.

Meanwhile, a question arises, where does Mercedes stand? Lewis Hamilton gives the answer, “Miles away from the podium”. The seven-time world champion believes that Ferrari did the best, keeping Mercedes nowhere near the podium. What can be done now? Will the Silver Arrows accept their fate like last year or is a miracle gonna happen in the form of continuous developments in the W14? Hamilton had revealed that a lot of work is remaining to do now. Adding downforce, putting more load in the rear wings, and increasing some pace might let Mercedes stand tall. And the team is working on it.
