Red Bull is the most dominant team at present in Formula One. They are on their way to win back to back constructor titles. It all started with Max Verstappen winning the driver’s world championship back in 2021. But the credit goes to Red Bull’s Adrian Newey, the car designer and Chief Technology Officer. Also, the credit goes to Honda, the engine partner of Red Bull. The way things are going for Red Bull, it does not look like they would need any new upgrades.

But FIA says apparently they do need some changes on RB19 before the Hungarian Grand Prix. Moreover, the governing body reveals five changes that Red Bull will make to the RB19 car. The most prominent upgrade Red Bull will make is on the new side pods. Moreover, Red Bull is bringing a big upgrade ahead of the race in Budapest.

According to F1, the main difference that RB19 will have is the cooling inlet. The Austrian team is reshaping their cooling inlet. Hence, no waterslide for Christian Horner’s team. After the new upgrades, the ramp near the rear will look more regular. Moreover, the pressure at the entrance of the radiator duct will increase the cooling efficiency. It is because the new look of the letterbox will improve the pressure. Moreover, the Milton Keynes team will have new corners at the front and the rear.

It will have a larger brake duct to deal with the Budapest heat. Moreover, they have changed the floor, especially its body and edge, to match with the new looks of the side pods. If these changes can bring the two-tenths in the paddock, that only time can say. Even the sister team of Red Bull, Alpha Tauri, is bringing new upgrades as they hope to change their luck with Daniel Ricciardo instead of Nyck De Vries. Alpha Tauri will have a new front wing on their AT04’s upgraded version.

With The Superiority Of RB19, Max Verstappen Is Unbeatable

Moreover, it does not look like any team can beat Red Bull or, specifically, Max Verstappen this season. There have been a couple of instances when Verstappen came second this year. Once in Saudi Arabia and the other time in Baku, the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. It was only his teammate Sergio Perez who got the better of him twice in 2023. But no other team driver has been able to beat him yet in 2023. Most importantly, the worst performance for Max this season has been coming second a couple of times in ten races so far.

That’s how good Max Verstappen has been this year. He is continuing the same rhythm he had last season. In 2022, the Dutchman broke the record for most wins in a single season. The previous record was 13, which belonged to Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel. But Verstappen took the glory away from those German greats. However, it looks like Max is about to break his own record this year.
