Sir Lewis Hamilton shocked the F1 world when he confirmed that he was moving to Ferrari next year. He had been an integral part of the Mercedes F1 team cum family for a really long time. He joined the German team the same year as the team principal, Toto Wolff. Since 2013, Toto and Lewis saw the Silver Arrows reach the summit of Formula One. They were unstoppable in the turbo-hybrid era. Moreover, from 2014 to 2021, Mercedes won all the constructor titles. They won all the driver’s championships as well, but the last one in 2021. That year, Max Verstappen narrowly and in quite controversial circumstances went on to break the streak of Lewis Hamilton.
Otherwise, Hamilton could have won five titles in a row and eight overall. But that was just not meant to be. As a result, Hamilton had to wait another two years with Mercedes to win his eighth title. However, the great Briton has remained winless since 2022. Who knows what he will do in 2024 with the same old Mercedes car? Perhaps it is best for him to try his luck with Ferrari next year. But the Italian team is super happy to sign the most decorated driver in F1 history. After they sealed the deal with Hamilton, Ferrari announced a sponsorship deal with a major energy drink conglomerate.
Ferrari Signs A Major Energy Drink Company As Sponsor After Signing The Seven-Time Champion
Since Scuderia Ferrari signed Lewis Hamilton, their market value has been skyrocketing. After all, it is the dawn of the new collaboration between the most successful team and racer in Formula One. As per recent reports, Hamilton has signed a deal with Ferrari that’s worth $446 million. Perhaps the contract states it is not only extended to the 39-year-old’s driving duties. Due to the rise in market value, Ferrari signed a major energy drink as their sponsors. Lewis Hamilton had a long association with Monster, energy drink.
But they won’t follow Hamilton to Italy. Monster switched teams to McLaren for this year. Anyhow, Ferrari will have Celsius as their sponsors. Moreover, Ferrari’s chief racing revenue officer mentioned that they are very happy to say that after joining hands with the US Company for 2024, they are ready to expand the deal. Celsius became a global team partner of Scuderia Ferrari for this year and beyond. On February 13, the Celsius logos must appear on the new SF-24.
The Italian Team Looks To Have A Long Collaboration With Celsius
Ferrari’s chief racing revenue officer, Lorenzo Giorgetti mentioned they are looking forward to Celsius providing their team members and drivers with essential energy throughout the intense upcoming season. They also plan to work with them on experiences and new assets for their global fan base. It seems like the Celsius company is also looking forward to this collaboration.
The vice president of Marketing of the US Company, Kyle Watson, mentioned both parties share a competitive spirit that empowers the racers, consumers, and fans to give their best and live healthily on and off the track. Moreover, Watson mentioned that they could not have been happier to keep growing their partnership with Scuderia Ferrari, who are a “World class F1 team that shares the same passion to elevate everyday lives and keep performing at the very top level.”
