The New York Yankees have started the season with brilliant form, winning all the series played so far and looking like genuine contenders for the World Series title. The team, despite incessant injury concerns, has stood strong and held the fort. Moreover, they overcame multiple series scares to remain the only team without a series defeat this season.

However, the Toronto Blue Jays brought their momentum to a halt. They took advantage of some uncharacteristic errors and lapses in concentration from the Yankees to secure two wins in the three-game series. Thus breaking the long series win streak. Certainly, the fans remained appalled by the Bombers’ performance and were critical of their outings over the weekend.

The New York Yankees suffered their first series defeat of the season, losing two out of three games to the Toronto Blue Jays over the weekend. The loss left many fans sulking, disappointed that their team could not maintain their perfect start to the season. There were plenty of reasons for concern for the Bombers this weekend. For starters, the team’s offense has been awful. They managed to record only five runs in the three-game series. Another issue for the Yankees was their inability to hold off the runs from the mound. Not to mention the frequent, costly fielding errors.

That being said, there is still a long way to go in the season. The New York Yankees have plenty of time to make up ground and compete for the World Series title. However, the series defeat to the Blue Jays serves as a reminder that there remain no easy games in the Major Leagues and that the Yankees will need to be at their best if they are to achieve their goals for the season. Regardless, the regular injured players could return soon, which would eventually boost the lineup even further.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr Re-Establishes His Dominance In New York

Blue Jays slugger Vladimir Guerrero Jr likes to play at the Yankee stadium despite being an absolute hater of the organization. He hardly ever leaves the Bronx without adding a home run to his tally. This season, too, he continued the tradition. During the recently concluded series between the New York Yankees and Toronto Blue Jays, Vlad scored two homers, including a two-run hit in the iconic Yankee stadium.

With much drama and high intensity, Vladimir once again trumped the Yankees, the club he never wished to sign with, even dead. The series heated up with Vald’s controversial statement against the Bombers. On top of that, Anthony Rizzo followed it up with an aggressive on-field confrontation. However, the Jays’ slugger had the last laugh as he took home a sweet series victory for his team, a rather crucial one, thus ending the Yankees’ long-withstanding series win streak. Overall, it was a weekend to forget for the Bronx Bombers as Vladimir Guerrero Jr went home donning a wide smile on his face.
