The Golden State Warriors have been very inconsistent this season. They started with a win but then began to lose their way. Moreover, the Dubs have been so inconsistent that they proceeded with a five-game winning streak after losing six games on the trot. Lately, they have lost back-to-back games. Currently, the Warriors are 15-16 and the 11th seed in the Western Conference. Moreover, a .484 record won’t help them go anywhere near their desired destination.

Hence, the GSW will have to make some significant changes before the trade deadline. If the seven-time champions have to trade any player, then who is it going to be? They have some quality young players in their lineup. But the Dubs might not want to trade them. Then, veteran forward Draymond Green is a good option to trade.

Recently, on his podcast, Bill Simmons suggested the Warriors might trade Draymond Green to the Oklahoma City Thunder. In the ongoing regular season, the Thunder is doing really well. They should go ahead and buy viable options prior to the deadline. Currently, the OKC Thunder are the second seed of the Western Conference. After 29 games, the Thunder is 20-9. But the OKC Thunder has a lot of young players on their roster. Hence, it would benefit them immensely if they sign a veteran like the four-time champion Dray Green. Recently, Simmons mentioned that he feels the connection between the Warriors, Steph, and Green is still very special.

However, Green may have done something that would make the Warriors ready to move on. And who knows, the Thunder might just not care and be ready to sign Green. This veteran forward is serving an indefinite suspension after hurting the Phoneix Sun’s Jusuf Nurkic in the face. Hence, the Warriors franchise might just decide to get rid of Dray Green. But there is Steph Curry as one big obstacle to making that move. He might just not be on board to trading Green. Moreover, Simmons mentioned in three weeks, they will have an answer when Green returns.

The back-to-back suspensions of veteran forward Draymond Green did not help their cause. Due to Green’s absence in the very beginning, the Dubs faced a six-game losing streak. It did not do any good to their title-winning hopes. But then, when he returned, things did not get any better. Moreover, Green made a costly foul against the Oklahoma City Thunder at the very end of the game. When he fouled, the Warriors were leading by three points with only 7.2 seconds remaining.

But his foul allowed the OKC Thunder to take three free throws, and they got all of them. The game went into overtime, and in the end, the Dubs lost 138-136. If that was not enough, Draymond Green went on to receive a second suspension around the first twenty games of the ongoing season. As a result, Steve Kerr has not been able to play the intended starting lineup in that many games this season as of yet.
