Even For LeBron James, It Looks Quite Impossible To Help Lakers Make The Finals After 0-3 Loss

Back in the time, LeBron James led the Los Angeles Lakers to their 17th championship victory in 2019-20. Since then, the squad has faced a lot of trouble getting to another title glory. The Lakers did not make the postseason last year. Back in February, LeBron James stated that not making the postseason for two years in a row is not in his DNA. James proved that he is a man of his word. Albeit, although he lost a month’s game time owing to a tendon injury, James returned right before the regular season was about to be over.

He helped the team to make the postseason but had to go through a play-in game against the Timberwolves. The Lakers’ ace helped his then-team Cavaliers back in 2007 and 2018 to come back from a 0-2 position in the conference finals. With the help of James, the Cleveland franchise beat the Pistons in 2007 and the Celtics in 2018. Furthermore, in the history of the competition, only six times a team has managed to overcome the deficit of 0-2 in the conference finals. LeBron James was part of two of those six times. But now he is too old at 38 to do something like that. Anyway, his team is now 0-3 down, not 0-2 anymore. So, looks like the Los Angeles Lakers are anyway set to get down this year as well. Just like the last one.

LeBron James & Los Angeles Lakers Disappoint The Fans In Game 3

Before Game 3 against the Denver Nuggets, the Lakers had a 7-0 record at home in this year’s playoffs. But they even lost their home advantage on Saturday. Celebrities like Jack Nicholson, Denzel Washington, Adele, and so on were present. However, the lucky charm of Nicholson could not even prevent the Lakers from losing Game 3. Surprisingly, the inconsistent Anthony Davis did well in Game 3, and so did James. But that did not help the Lakers win Game 3. D’Angelo Russell disappointed fans in Game 3. But James was even more disappointing with his three-pointer shootings.

He got his first three-pointer at the fag end of the third quarter in Game 3. Even though LeBron James scored 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds in that match, there are a lot of things the Lakers and James need to work on for the future. Before the next season begins, James must get healthier than he was this season. Hence, he might have to undergo surgery to fix his tendon injury. This year, the Lakers really missed a healthy LeBron who could score 40 points at ease every game. However, he is averaging below 30 points. With the deteriorating James, it will be a lot harder for the Lakers to stop the Nuggets from sealing the series tonight at the Crypto.com arena.

Nuggets Seem Too Hard To Beat For Lakers

Throughout the playoffs, LeBron James has been leading the Lakers spectacularly well. They beat the Grizzlies and the Warriors on their way to the conference finals against the Nuggets. But it somehow seems more difficult than expected to beat the top seed of the Western Conference. In the first three games of the series, the Lakers have failed to stop Jamal Murray and the two-time MVP Nikola Jokic.

LeBron James helped the side to beat the second seed 4-2 and the defending champions with the same result. However, in the series against the Nuggets, the King could not help his team dominate. In contrast, the Nuggets are 3-0 up, and it is just a matter of a game to win to seal the series.
