Golden State Warriors knocked out Sacramento Kings from the playoffs by winning Game 7 of the playoff series. After trailing early on, the Warriors staged a solid comeback, all thanks to Steph Curry’s dominating 50-point game. The Kings simply had no answers to Curry’s aggressive gameplay and conceded defeat. Now, the Warriors will face LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers for the semi-finals of the 2022-23 NBA season.

Meanwhile, Warriors forward Draymond Green had a word to two to give it back to the Sacramento Kings. During the first-round playoff series, Kings guard Malik Monk indirectly took a jibe at Green and referred to him as old. The comment, however, did not sit well well with the Warriors forward, who waited till the series win to clap back at Monk and even dragged Lakers forward LeBron James into the convo.

During the playoff series between Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, Grizzlies forward Dillon Brooks trashed talk about LeBron James by calling him an old guy. While James did not respond with any words, he left his performance speak for itself. A clutch from the 38-year-old in Game 6 led to the Grizzlies’ ouster from the playoffs. A similar incident took place during the series between Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings. Kings’ guard, Malik Monk, called the Warriors team old and tired. However, the older team had the last laugh as the 35-year-old Steph Curry completely outclassed the entire Kings lineup single-handedly and sealed the semi-final berth.

Meanwhile, Draymond Green, the Warriors forward, took offense to these comments. He hit back at Monk and Brooks for their “old guys” comment and said, “Stop trying to turn the page on us so fast.” Green added that these comments take a toll on guys like him and LeBron James, who then constantly contemplate their future. Moreover, whilst figuring out what the future holds, they miss out on the current joy and glory. Hence, Green affirmed that the guys of his age group are just going to enjoy every step of the game and will not be bothered by people’s opinions. Undoubtedly, guys like Draymond Green and LeBron James still possess what it takes to be a professional basketball player at the top of their league. Hence, one must not question their credibility based on their age.
