In what turned out to be a perfect end to a dominant series, Juan Soto once again contributed in the series finale to ensure the New York Yankees finished with a sweep. However, the Yankee fan favorites didn’t necessarily get a rousing reception in Houston’s Minute Maid Park. But regardless, Soto responded to the haters with a classic reply.

Amidst a heated series between the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros, Juan Soto found himself at the center of attention, not only for his scorching form with the bat but also for the unexpected reception he received from the opposing fans. Soto was making his debut in pinstripes. But it seemed he had been in the Bronx all his life. The generational talent wasted no time in making his presence felt. He threw the runner at home out in the first game to guide the Yanks to a win on opening day. Soto followed the dream start-up by scoring the season’s first home run in game 2. Not only that, the slugger hit an RBI in the series finale to extend the Yank’s lead.
That being said, whilst Juan Soto was single-handedly dominating the formidable Houston Astros squad, the fans in Minute Maid Park showered their frustration on Soto with loud boos. The fans booed the generational talent during the introduction, whilst he was batting, and during his time at the right field as well. However, regardless of the hostile reception, Soto affirmed he enjoyed his time in Houston. Soto said when you get booed on the opposition field, it essentially means you are doing something right for your team. Therefore, he refused to take the unwelcoming reception to heart and instead enjoyed his debut series as a Yankee. That being said, the entire Yankee camp was elated with Soto’s surreal debut. It acted as a glimmer of hope as the Bombers strive towards a deep postseason run this year.
Marcus Stroman Honored To Share Field With Generational Talent Like Soto!
While the New York Yankees celebrated Juan Soto’s remarkable debut, his teammate Marcus Stroman endorsed his as the best hitter he has ever faced in his career. Stroman added that Soto is kind of a man he would talk to his grandkids about. The pitcher added how he feels extremely privileged to on the same side as Juan Soto.
“I’ve faced some good hitters, man. But I always tell everyone that Juan Soto is the best hitter that I’ve ever faced,” said Marcus Stroman. Needless to say, the acclaimed slugger is gelling up nicely with the new squad. And most importantly, the change is scenery is suiting up which is a massive sign of encouragement for the Bronx Bombers.
