Formula One is often considered one of the world’s most ruthless sports. The margin of error is so small that a small mistake can also cost drivers their job or life. Although modern cars are made with such high safety standards, it is almost impossible to acquire life-threatening injuries. But nothing at that moment is conclusive when a person moves at a speed of more than 250km/h. This shows how complex and tight the sport is in terms of making mistakes.

Professional drivers start their journey very early in their life to make a career in Formula One. It is an expensive sport. Therefore, it is difficult for everyone to make the investments it requires. This makes the sport unfair and unavailable to everyone who is passionate about racing. However, the negative aspects of the sport do not end once you make it to the professional level. The incident of Daniil Kvyat should reflect how a career in F1 can be jeopardized in just four races at the top level. And how someone else is always waiting for an opportunity to pounce at the top of the game.

Red Bull Apparently Stabbed Daniil Kvyat In The Back

Formula One is a very demanding sport. If an individual fails to deliver at the top level, he is often let go of the team. Each team has the option to have only two racers which makes them liable only to choose the best. However, in the case of Kvyat, he was one of the best, but Red Bull made a judgment on him only in four races in 2016. He won a podium in China, but his 15th finish in his home during the Russian Grand Prix made Red Bull take the decision.

In his recent interviews, Daniil revealed that at that time, he was performing really well. He explained, “I just scored another podium for the team [at the 2016 Chinese Grand Prix], and then at the time, I also had a proposal to race for Ferrari to replace Kimi.” But the Russian chose Red Bull because he thought he was performing well for them. However, Red Bull was planning on a different game to bring Max Verstappen as their racer. And he won his debut race, sealing the decision as one of their best decisions.

“I Felt Really Betrayed At That Moment,” Said The Former Formula One Driver

It would have broken any racer because his career trajectory went down immediately. “It was a stab in the back, and that’s life, you get stabbed in the back sometimes, you know, it’s normal.”

At the end of the conversation, he also thanked Redbull for showing him that time of his life. But he also displayed his emotions about how he felt discontent at that moment in his life. Moreover, Kvyat is set to join Lamborghini in 2024 for their World Endurance Championship.
