It looks like, the Italian giants might not have ruled out the return of Ronaldo just yet. However, there have been doubts if the club would be willing to pay his current wage of £385,000 per week. The five-time Ballon d\’Or made 134 appearances for Juventus, scoring 101 goals along with two league titles and Coppa Italia each.
Ronaldo Could Replace Robert Lewandowski At Bayern Munich
As per Spanish newspaper AS, Bayern Munich is eyeing Cristiano Ronaldo as a potential replacement for Lewandowski. The 33-year-old is interested in leaving for Barcelona. The Polish national has been at Bayern for eight seasons, and the club does not want Robert to leave. But Barcelona has offered an opening deal of £35 million for the Lewandowski. However, Bayern sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic still feels like Robert might end up staying following their meeting in Mallorca. Hasan said, \”Lewandowski staying? Until now it\’s 100%. July 12 is his first day at work, so I\’m, awaiting him.\”
Further, the sporting director shared that meeting Robert in Mallorca was good as each side explained their positions. However, Lewandowski felt that his time in Bavaria was coming to a close, which he talked about after the season ended in May. The 33-year-old believes that his era at Bayern is over. He does not see a possibility to continue playing for Bayern anymore. Lewandowski said that a transfer was the best option as he did not want to play for the club anymore.
