They needed two lefty sluggers because the Yankees stadium suits the southpaws the best. In 2024, Bellinger can play at first base, DH, and center field, the executive told Feinsand. It is a possibility because there have not been many strong suitors for Cody Bellinger. On top of that, the Yankees did not have any major signing from Free agency other than Marcus Stroman. However, the Chicago Cubs are favorites to land the lefty slugger. Despite the two parties are adamant in their valuations, there has been a stalemate between them. Generally, these situations give the competitors a chance to usurp the favorite, and Brian Cashman can do just that.
The Bronx Bombers Have A Strong Outfield Ready For 2024 Already
Juan Soto signed with the Yankees for a one-year deal before he heads to his free agency at the end of the 2024 season. There’s a good chance that the NY side won’t be able to land the Dominican superstar for a multi-year deal. However, for 2024, the best hitter in baseball will don the Pinstripes uniform.
