Giancarlo Stanton, who battled injury concerns for the better half of his prolific major league career, rediscovered his form with the New York Yankees this season. With Aaron Judge and Juan Soto leading offensive production, Stanton was more relaxed in the middle of the lineup.

He has delivered as per set expectations this season. Most importantly, Giancarlo Stanton has stayed healthy for the most part of the year, besides a hamstring issue that kept him out for four weeks. That being said, Stanton recently went yard in the Yankees’ 8-4 victory against the Texas Rangers and unlocked a major career milestone.

Giancarlo Stanton, the powerful slugger for the New York Yankees, is extending his resurgent run after a career-low season in 2023. This year, the slugger’s numbers have been remarkably better. He is walking toe-to-toe with his legendary teammates Aaron Judge and Juan Soto. Recently, Stanton went yard in the eighth inning against Texas Rangers to score a solo home run, thus extending the Yanks lead to 8-3. By hitting his 25th home run of the season, Stanton became the only active player in MLB to have at least 10 seasons with 25 or more home runs. Not only that, the Bombers are the only team in baseball with three 25-home-run hitters this season, as Aaron Judge and Juan Soto earlier surpassed the tally.

Since debuting in 2010, Giancarlo Stanton has been known for his ability to hit towering home runs with astonishing power. Throughout his career, he has dealt with multiple injuries, but his knack for reaching the 25-home run mark has been a constant. Stanton’s ability to maintain such a high level of performance over ten different seasons is a testament to both his talent and resilience. This latest accomplishment places Stanton in rarefied air. Not only is he the sole active player with a decade of 25-home run seasons, but he also joins an exclusive club of all-time greats who have achieved the feat. Moreover, reaching this milestone comes at a crucial time for the Yankees, who are in the thick of a playoff race. Stanton’s power surge will encourage the team to build momentum heading into the final stretch.

While the New York Yankees enjoyed the 8-4 dominant victory over the Texas Rangers on Monday, manager Aaron Boone was scratching his head over ace Gerrit Cole’s injury concern. Cole threw six dominant innings and allowed only one run on three hits. However, while warming up for the seventh, the pitcher felt cramps in the calf muscle.

Gerrit Cole tried his best to stretch his right leg a couple of times until he realised that the discomfort wouldn’t go away immediately. Hence, Cole gestured his trainer and manager Aaron Boone to take him out of the mound. Having said that, Cole is confident of the injury not being serious enough for IL stint and aims to stay on schedule.
