Nikola Jokic might be the most dominant player in the league right now. He is the biggest reason why the Denver Nuggets eventually won their maiden title in 2023. Moreover, the head coach of the Nuggets, Michael Malone, mentioned several times that they tried to build a team around the great Serbian. The Colorado-based franchise realized quite early on that they had a player who could lead the team to unprecedented success. Anyway, it has been an interesting journey for the Nuggets star center. He was the 41st pick of the 2014 NBA draft. Nobody really thought the Serbian could become an MVP-level player someday.

But he proved every naysayer and doubter wrong, thanks to the Denver Nuggets for giving him complete support. However, the great Serbian keeps saying that basketball is not his first love. He prefers horse racing more than playing basketball. But his love and dedication toward the “Nuggets family” is well known. Moreover, he loves horse racing way more than spending time on social media. Anyhow, in a recent NBA list, he got down to 4th place behind LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Victor Wembanyama.

On the latest list of most viewed NBA Players, only four players got over a billion views on social media. LeBron James and Steph Curry obviously the most popular names and faces of the league. No wonder they are at the top of the list as the teams they play for are so popular on social media as well. However, Nikola Jokic could not even beat the new sensation Victor Wembanyama on the list. The San Antonio Spurs star was the next big thing entering the league, after LeBron James back in 2003.

He was also the overall number one pick in the NBA draft last year. Hence, he racked up more views than Jokic on social media. Wembanyama got 1.3 billion views, whereas Nikola Jokic got 1.2 billion. The Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic was the fifth name on the list, with 914 million views on the social media pages. A lot more big names were there, too, on the list.

The new champions had faith in the big man from Serbia. Later, Nikola Jokic went on to win back-to-back MVPs. He could have won his third consecutive MVP last year. But controversially enough, Joel Embiid won the 2023 MVP. However, Jokic won something that means much more to him than the MVP title in 2023. He eventually became a World Champion as the Nuggets won their maiden title.

On top of that, Nikola Jokic won the Conference Finals MVP as well as the NBA Finals MVP. He broke several records, including the triple-double record in the NBA Finals last season. Moreover, Mr. Triple-Double is really changing the idea of the role of a center in the league. The 28-year-old center is very popular for his incredible basketball IQ and his unbelievable assists.
