CHECKOUT: Why Draymond Green & Klay Thompson Were Missing From Warriors-Blazers Game?

The Golden State Warriors will need Klay Thompson and Draymond Green to stay healthy going to the postseason. Obviously, the biggest star of the Dubs is Stephen Curry. However, the duo of Green and Thompson have been equally successful in the San Francisco-based team. The trio – Steph, Klay, and Dray won four titles together with the GSW. Moreover, in a span of eight years, this trio made the Dubs a modern-day Dynasty. However, both Klay and Dray have lost their All-Star status lately. Moreover, the 2023-2024 season has not been great for either Klay Thompson or Draymond Green.

They did not have a great start to the season, and they have been very inconsistent. But it is quite clear that when the trio plays together, the level of their productivity rises. Moreover, in the previous game against the Los Angeles Lakers, the Dub’s tripod performed really well, especially the veteran forward Draymond Green, who had a great game. Steph got a lot of help from Klay Thompson and Dray Green while beating the LA side. Klay and Dray scored 42 points together on Tuesday night. However, they were not fit enough to play against the Portland Trail Blazers.

The Golden State Warriors ruled Draymond Green and Klay Thompson out of Thursday’s clash against the Trail Blazers. Green has been looking questionable since the initial injury report on Wednesday. The veteran forward suffered a right knee contusion. At 1.30 pm on Thursday, the GSW downgraded both Thompson and Green on the PT Injury report. Apparently, Klay Thompson sustained right knee tendinitis. Both these veteran Dubs stars were instrumental in beating the Lakers in Los Angeles. But as it turns out these stars won’t be available for a while.

It is not a good sign for the Warriors as they are trying to climb up the standings at the Western Conference in the final week of the regular season. But the quest of the Warriors to climb up took a hit as Klay Thompson and Draymond Green did not play at Moda Center on Thursday. There have been a few more injuries for Steve Kerr’s side as the big man Dario Saric missed 11 games owing to lateral joint pain in his right knee. Lately, the Warriors upgraded Saric to the list of ‘Probables.’ On Thursday afternoon, the Dubs added Gary Payton II to the Injured List. He has been questionable with tightness in his left calf.
