This one-of-a-kind look, inspired by the Lone Star Flag of Texas, is part of the “Make Your Mark” campaign, where Red Bull asked its fans from around the world to create designs for all three US-based Grand Prix this season.
Texan Flair on the Race Cars
The Lone Star flag’s renowned star and three-color pattern now adorn the Red Bull Formula 1 cars. They extend over the lower half of the car from the front to the rear wing. Franco Cavallone, a skilled graphic designer from Argentina, crafted this captivating design. He emerged as the winner in a fan vote, surpassing over 2,000 other submissions. Interestingly, a designer from Argentina also won the previous Make Your Mark contest held in Miami. Franco Cavallone, who was overjoyed by his victory, said, “When I found out I’d won, I felt a mix of emotions. I was extremely happy. I first heard about Make Your Mark while watching the second practice session at the Miami GP. It was my first time attending a race. I learned that the Red Bull Racing livery in Miami was designed by a fan from Argentina, just like me.”
“When I returned to my hotel, I researched the competition, joined The Paddock, and started working on my design for Austin right away. I thought about Austin and the Circuit of the Americas and drew inspiration from the stripes and stars, as well as the red, white, and blue lines around the corners of the track. It feels like a dream come true that this is happening to me. I can’t wait to see my design on the car in action.”

Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing’s team principal, expressed his enthusiasm for this unique fan-led competition coming to life.
